I agree with mic111 about there being no one "good area". Also, it's kind of hard for those of us whose kids only attended school in one of those places to compare it to something else.

Re: Erie-the west side of Erie in in the Boulder Valley SD and the kids are currently assigned to Lafayette Ele. There is a bond election coming up in the BVSD which, if passed, will finance an elementary school in the BVSD portion of Erie, a pre-K through 8, actually. The east side of Erie, that is the portion in Weld County, is in the St. Vrain Valley SD. There are two elementary schools in Erie in the St. Vrain portion.

Default Between Louisville and Longmont - thoughts?

Hey guys! Thanks again for everyone who responded. So we visited over the weekend to go house hunting and get a feel for the area, and after visiting I don't know why I had any hesitation! It's gorgeous there. Heaven. Anyway, we are really having a hard time choosing between the Longmont area and the Superior Area...that's what we've narrowed it down too. Work would be 2 miles away if we were in Superior, but about 15-20 if in Longmont. You can get more bang for your buck in Longmont, but I don't feel as familiar with the area. The homes we are looking at there are in the Renaissance neighborhood so assigned to either Eagle Crest or Blue Mountain elementary which apparently are both good schools. The homes there are just beautiful and the views are gorgeous. However we were hoping to avoid an annoying commute. I'm wondering what you all's thoughts are on the commute from Longmont to Superior/Louisville area and your thought on Longmont in general?
