We are not moving to Boulder, but we would, what a place! Loved it.

My wife, our 10 month old girl and I spent 5 days in the Denver area and decided to check out Boulder on Sunday. We loved it so much we came back and spent all day Monday there too.

We met some very cool people on Pearl St just hanging out playing the guitar, dancing, singing. We are a Hispanic/White mixed couple and never once did we feel any judgement against us...which is amazing in this country.

We had breakfast at Marie's Cafe on Broadway St, where we sat outside in the Sun with a cool breeze. The vibe is so soothing there, so free spirited yet enthusiastic. We engaged in conversation about TV with a lady and her child, not sure how it came up, but it was cool to meet people who don't watch TV and like to read instead. It is just a conversation you don't have everyday.

I know it is not the same hippy town my dad lived in back in 69, but it is still special and the spirit lives.

Places like Berkeley, Davis, Humboldt, Bisbee, AZ and Boulder, CO are what make this country so amazing. Let's just hope they never change.

Actually I was so happy that I started to sing to my little girl rather loudly while walking...a little "hey hey, what do you say...I am in the mood for fun today..hey hey what do you say I am in the mood for happiness" it may sound silly but nobody even stared or glared and it was like pure freedom.

Bless Boulder.

Come on people, stop being so cynical. IF someone genuinely likes a town in Colorado, I think that's pretty cool.

Mach50 - glad you like it! I think Boulder is pretty great too. Doesn't make me want to break out into Kumbaya, but I'm not prone to bursting into song. Boulder is a really nice town.

The only thing Boulder is missing is a good commune.

Hey that's cool I am a happy dude, but seriously, I guess I was just feeling like my dad probably did when he was traveling through the communes back in the days. Places like Boulder have a lot of good energy.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
