Can anyone tell me an area that would be good to live if I need to be near Denver International airport and the Watershed School in Boulder and the Mountain Shadows Montessori School. I would like a house around 3000 sq ft and preferably around 300,000
and to add to my pipe dream land would be good. Dont mind a 45 minute drive to the airport but would like to be no more than 20 minutes from the schools. Any thoughts on areas, neighborhoods ot maybe I should ust wake up?!
Thanks!

Ignoring your request for land, I still don't know if you could find anything like that within 20 minutes of Boulder. You might be able to find a place in Longmont, but not in a neighborhood that I'd be happy in. And it would take you over 20 minutes to get to the Watershed School (don't know where the Montessori school is). And it would be at least a 45 min drive to the airport.

These are the areas that the Montessori school says it serves, Boulder, Erie, Lafayette, Louisville, Niwot, Longmont, Superior, this is the address of the school, 4154 63rd Street Boulder Co. Any thoughts on these areas? Can you tell me what it is about the neighborhoods inLongmont that you dont like?

They're all fine places to live, but it's pushing it to think that they're 45 minutes to the airport (possibly, if you take the expensive toll road?).

Finding liveable 3,000 sq ft. for 300,000 in those communities is a dream. You might possibly get very lucky and find that in Erie (and Longmont, but hence the iffy neighborhood comment? I don't know Longmont well enough to say). Not likely in the other communities. Broomfield might be another area to consider, but again, don't know the likelihood of finding 3,000 sq ft. for $300,000, and it might be a bit more than 20 minutes to the school.

Not to be a wet blanket, but you wouldn't find that in Louisville. It is about 45 min to the airport from my home in west Louisville.

Erie would meet most of those travel needs but needs the toll roads to make the DIA time. Firestone and Frederick (just east of Longmont) would be another choice although a bit further to DIA.
3000 SqFt. above grade (not including the basement) at 300k would be very difficult to find in these areas and definite no in Lafayette, Louisville, Niwot.

It takes me about 45 minutes to the airport from NE Longmont and I do use the toll road as it's just so convenient. There is also quite a bit of land in that area of Longmont but not much for sale as far as I can see. And you definitely wouldn't be 20 minutes from Boulder.

There is a great neighborhood in Frederick (Corner of 15 mile and 16 mile roads) that has houses that would fit your request. You may be a bit more than 20 minutes to the school (19 miles). It is an easy 35-40 minutes to the airport (without using the toll road). I lived in Firestone just down the road from this neighborhood for 5 years. My wife worked in Boulder and we ran out to the airport quite a bit (we are both from the Midwest so we flew home a lot).

The neighborhood is called New Frederick Village. There are lots selling there for around $80,000, and I believe one of the homes there just sold for $425,000 (5200 sq ft).

We really enjoy this area, and it is great for kids, and the new recreation center is just down the street.

Longmont has bad areas of town?
