I've attempted to find work in my field (RPG Programmer) here in Colorado since being laid off at the end of March (ugh, almost 11 months now!) and have had no luck.
So, after applying for many labor jobs (through county govs, etc) and not hearing back, I've figured I need to go through a temp agency.
What are some of the good ones in Boulder? (we're fairly new here...almost a year and a half now)
I'm basically looking for ANY job that would pay more than $9 hr.
I'm in good shape and have done construction labor in the past (way past!)
I've also worked in a warehouse pulling orders (a temp job before I got a programming job in TN when my wife and I moved there)

I would imagine when these labor jobs see that for the last 10 years I've been a programmer they figure they'd be better off hiring someone without that.
So, it seems having a college degree and years of programming experience may be hurting my chances at getting a job other than what specifically I've been doing.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

(I actually never minded doing labor work as it was outside and you got a decent workout...at the time the pay stunk, but now, anything is better than nothing)

few other interests I have (if anyone reading this has a job related to any of these ):
anything outdoors - do lots of backpacking, hiking, winter camping, etc
MMA (mixed martial arts)
animals - love all animals (we have 7 cats!! 6 being strays we rescued in TN)
music - played drums, bass, guitar in bands for a long time (even put out a CD in 2000!)

like I said though, I'll do almost anything for a job at this point.

Thanks

Thanks...I found that one, but wanted to know if anyone had personal experience with any of them before I called.
