Manny will destroy Quikrete Magarito. He hasn't fought in a year or so and if his gloves weren't loaded cotto would have destroyed him. This fight will be quick.
I wish Pacquiao WOULD NOT have given margarito a fight. Matter of fact, I wish no one would give that low life plaster loving SOB a fight again in his life. I hope he never again fights in California or Nevada. That's one cheater that deserves jail time for his crimes, and have all his so called "victories" erased from his record.
I wish Pacquiao WOULD NOT have given margarito a fight.
I agree. Unfortunately, its the low life Bob Arum who put this fight together for both of his boys. Had he scheduled a fight with Mosley (which he should have done) he would only have gotten his 20%-25% from Manny. Since these are both his boys, he'll get 20%-25% from both Manny and Margarito.
The boxing commissions need to start being the promoters of fights instead of having separate promoters.

Regardless, I am 100% behind Pacquiao. "F" margarito and his plaster!
I agree that Manny will win, but I don't think it will be as easy as it seems. He is distracted with the politics and Margarito is hungry and has a lot to prove. I think everyone deserves a 2nd chance and I don't have any resentment towards Margarito.
Manny is a much more skillful fighter, he is fast and precise and the only disadvantage that he has is his height.
I think I'm the only one in the whole world who wouldn't mind if Margarito won. I have a certain dislike towards politicians and always feel sorry for underdogs.
The closer it gets to the fight, the more I'm starting to sense an upset. Manny is indeed distracted and it doesn't seem as though he's taking his training camp seriously enough. Margarito is hungry, and he's on a mission to prove that he can win big without loaded handwraps. He's also a much bigger and stronger opponent. Manny's speed and endurance will be key if he's going to pull this off. At this stage, Margarito just seems a bit more determined. If I had to bet on this fight I'd take Manny for a win, but it wouldn't surprise me if Margarito pulls off the victory. I just hope it's a good fight regardless of the outcome.
Just caught a rerun of last night's episode and my opinion hasn't changed.
I wonder if maintaining his 147 weight will work in Manny's advantage considering the size of Margarito.
Manny has two advantages...his speed and an edge in boxing ability. By gaining any more weight he gives up his edge in speed for just a small gain in size. Going up another five pounds or so won't give him a power advantage. Besides, a boxer's punching power comes from their tendons and ligaments, not their muscle mass.
Margarito is stronger, taller, and has a solid chin. Manny has his worked carved out for him. The way to victory is if he can take Margarito into deep waters in the later rounds, wear him down and frustrate him. Then catch him making mistakes. If Manny can stay off the ropes and avoid getting into a brawl he can pull it off.
I'm guessing Margarito enters the ring about 10 - 14 pounds heavier than Manny.
Margarito's greatest weapon against Manny will be his uppercut. He's got one of the best in the business. Manny will have to protect his chin a little better in this one.
