coming up on April 2nd....Any one here familiar with Helenius?...Iv been Following him since he was 5-0, This is a big step up for him from Levin....How do yall see this playing out?...think Helenius will win a 117-111 type DEC....
Helenius is a pathetic looking fighter. He's tall, but looks too unathletic and too skinny to be a fighter. His skin is loose and he has no muscularity. He doesn't appear very fast or very mobile. He's not a decent boxer and his style is more robotic than that of European fighters. Sam Peter is not a decent boxer either. He doesn't have much endurance and swings like an amateur. That belly Peter carries in the ring is a dead giveaway that he hates to do roadwork and doesn't have the discipline. He's only 30 though and may still have some power. Helenius is tall but not nearly as powerful as Klitschkos. If Peter comes in decent shape and catches Helenius, I expect him to crumble. He doesn't have the bulk and muscularity to take a punch, nor the mobility to avoid them. I don't like his chances.
Some guys Just arnt Muscular....ask Pavlik...What does his look have to do with anything anyway?
Helenius is IMO the better Boxer of the 2, and has shown a pretty good ability to counter his Opponent while moving back or Forward, he has shown he can work the Body, use the Jab and straight, as well as hooks and uppercuts....

Pavlik certainly looked sad against an old (but muscular, conditioned, seasoned) Hopkins. If you don't know what a fighter's "look" has to do with it, I'm not going to waste time trying to explain my perspective. I sense that you wouldn't appreciate it.
Helenius won the fight and proved to be a better boxer. Easy to outbox a guy like Peter though. Peter is easy to hit too. I thought the outcome would depend on what Peter brought and he's obviously on the serious decline. I'm not impressed with either fighter to be honest and think they both reflect the historically sad state of the heavy division. Kudos to Helenius for doing something I've been wanting to see for many years now: knock out the very untalented, overrated Peter.
I don't see a future for the sad-looking Helenius other than winning against these types of opponents. Don't take it personal. He reminds me of a Bob Fitzsimmons.
