Bernard Hopkinds had words for McNabb again, this time attacking his ethnicity.
Bernard Hopkins Unleashes Racially Charged Tirade Against Donovan McNabb - NFL - NESN.com
Hopkins-McNabb feud lingers - Boxing - Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news?slug=ap-hopkins-mcnabbfeud - broken link)
I think it's kind of embarrasing that a black man can say that, a privelaged, stable upbringing, isn't characteristic to being a "true" black person. I'm from the suburbs and I've heard it many times in my life as well. Classic slave mentality to the max.
I guess Hopkins kids and grandkids are "white" too, because I'm sure they grew up lavishly. smdh

I guess I'll move this to boxing, though I am not sure anything Bernard Hopkins says is thread worthy.

This is just a promotional tool. Just like the ''I will never let a white boy beat me'' in Calzaghe's face. I remember watching a video of them preparing for the match Hopkins said ''Controversy sells, sometimes in good taste, sometimes in bad taste. It's just the way it is''.
He has an upcoming fight with Jean Pascal, so it also explains it.

He's a racist moron showing his true colors. He ought to focus on his own career. His last few fights have been a farce and he was always overrated in my opinion.

WHOAAA! Remember BHop @ 43 took a 25 year old Kelly Pavlik to school. A jerk yes BHOP is, but not a legend or overrated- come on now!

Kelly Pavlik is one of the most overrated middleweights of all time. Left jab, straight right hand...that's Kelly Pavlik. During Hopkins prime there are several top ten middleweights missing from his resume...James Toney, Nigel Benn, Mike McCallum, Tony Thornton, Gerald McClellan, Chris Eubank, Julian Jackson and several others. During the middle of his career after his loss to Jones Jr. he fought about ten consecutive nobodies and then only a couple of ranked fighters. A lot of fights with names like Robert Allen x3, Syd Vanderpool x2, Eastman, Hakkar, Council, a much smaller De La Hoya and Trinidad, and not to mention all of his silly acting antics while trying to draw fouls from other fighters. He's made a mockery of the sport these last few years and needs to retire. His most impressive victory was against Tarver, who I never really thought was great.

So when he knocked De La hoya to his knees with one clean body shot, that wasnt impressive? Or his consectutive title defenses? Man, I think you just have an issue with certain fighters, and put blilnders on and see it as all black and white-

His body shot KO over DLH was impressive, however, DLH was a much smaller fighter and what happened in the ring SHOULD have happened. I thoght Jones body shot KO of Virgil Hill (a naturally larger fighter) was more impressive. His title defenses came against a long list of "who is who" opponents. He basically padded his record much like Monzon. While I respect his tenure as champion and the fact that he could stay in prime condition all those years, I think he avoided a lot of tough fights. He's also a dirty fighter and I have little respect for his antics in the ring. The acting performances he put on against Calzaghe and Jones were disgraceful.
