I always laughed at his "money" routine thinking he was hyping it up as part of his image fine. So anyway on 24/7 there is a part where he is skyping with the troops serving our nation overseas. Most of these individuals are lucky to be making 30K a year. Anyway, Mayweather proceeds to tell them how much he is worth as he brags about his house and his possessions showing them every room in the house via his laptop. What a classless tool. These men and woman are away from their families making a little money, serving the nation which allows you to have such a great life and you go and do something like that
It's definitely not the tact I would have taken, but I'm not him. However, one thing that should be remembered is that he didn't have to agree to do the Skype chat in the first place. But then if word got out that he refused to do a chat with the troops then the same haters would be hating regardless; haters gonna hate . Second, HBO has a vested financial interest in painting Floyd as the "heel" to help sell PPVs. Perhaps he was asked about his home or his possessions. But who's to say how HBO edited the footage? It's interesting how folks thousands of miles away can get so offended, but when I look at the pictures, I don't see troops who appear offended. They look entertained. I also see a door and if anyone was offended I'm sure they would have used it, but it appears that every seat is filled and there are even more troops standing in attendance.

Wow, you must work for his PR department. First of all, that haters gonna hate mentality is a cop out. Why couldn't he just do the damn greeting without making it about his fortune and fame? How about something called class and humility? The only thing worse than the haters are the fanboys who make excuses for poor behavior.
As far as HBO trying to paint him to be a heel, Floyd doesn't do anything he doesn't want to do, the cameras are catching the real Floyd.

And yet so apropos at times.

I don't know, you'd have to take it up with him. However, I guess the simplest answer is that he's his own individual with his own persona and so he does things in his life his own way, not the way that Coolhand68 thinks that he should. At the end of the day, he's just another human being and sometimes he makes errors in judgment just as I do, just like I'm sure St. Manny does, just like I'm sure that you do. In any event, from Major Dettmer's article it didn't *seem* to be all about his fame and fortune...

Nah, I'd say the haters are much worse especially the close-minded ones.

I didn't claim that he did anything that he didn't want to do. To expand on what I previously stated, footage can be edited to give a certain portrayal of a subject and to elicit a certain response in the viewers. Surely you must realize that that happens all of the time in reality TV.

So here you are floggin the haters, yet you are one yourself. You're trying to hard to fit a square peg into a round hole Evan.
I'm not hating on anyone. I'm not trying to fit any square peg into any round hole. Please don't try and project your behavior onto me. Thanks!
