Eh, if you do the crime you have to be prepared to do the time. I do hate seeing people get out of sticky situations just because they're rich and/or famous. I wonder if this definitely kills his May 5th fight. One would logically think so if he indeed serves the entire 90 days, but you never know what Floyd might try to do after getting out.

90 days is nothing for him.

As much as I'm not a fan of Floyd, I still find it unfortunate when a talented athlete has gone down a path that can potentially hinder their career. The judge made the right call, hopefully this will humble him a little and give him time to re-evaluate his priorities and turn it around. Probably not, but to me this isn't anything to celebrate about regardless if you hate him or not.

Not sure how this affects his May 5th match, on one hand he may have an advantage...plenty of time to workout and train real hard, re-focus without too much distraction. On the other hand, it will likely things back a bit and we may not see him fight until the end of summer.

Meanwhile, if a fight between and he and Manny doesn't take place, I'd like to see Manny fight Bradley next. I'm really not interested in a fourth Marquez fight, at least not until he's fought Bradley and Mayweather.

I'd have a hard time dipping into my PPV budget for that one. Pacquiao would annihilate Tim Bradley. On the other hand, Another rematch with JMM isn't terribly appealing either. Even if he beats Manny, he won't win unless a) he knocks Pacquiao out (unlikely) or b) the fight is in Mexico (again unlikely).

I'm confident Manny thoroughly dominates Bradley, but when you look around, there really aren't any good fights to be made between 140 - 154. He's already beaten Cotto, and Berto/Ortiz are set for a rematch and Peterson/Khan will likely have a rematch. Alvarez hasn't earned it yet and neither had Kirkland. If Manny has three fights left in him and barring any losses/rematches, I think it should be Bradley, Mayweather, and Marquez, then hang 'em up and call it a career.

Meanwhile, I'd like to see Mayweather fight the winner of the Berto/Ortiz rematch or possibly Cotto. Whether that's before or after Manny it doesn't matter.

I like Kirkland, but he isn't ready for Pac. I wouldn't mind seeing him square off against the winner of a hypothetical Alvarez-Chavez Jr. bout (too bad that isn't happening). Assuming he can get by Ortiz, I'd definitely pay to watch Berto vs. Mayweather and/or Pacquiao. Similarly, I wouldn't mind seeing Cotto vs. Mayweather or a rematch with Pacquiao. Mayweather or Pacquiao vs. Martinez in a catchweight fight is still interesting and viable. There are some good fights to be made if only the promoters cared about the fans as much as they care about their bank accounts.

This explains why a week before he was sentenced he was calling out Pacquiao. He knew he wasn't going to fight him. He knew he was going to go to jail. What a coward move.
