Not a poll and maybe not Dana White but a figure head like Dana White, I mean who is the commission that runs boxing?

MMA has or had Strikeforce, Pride, UFC, Shark fights,? Something like that anyway this WBA or WBC or IBF or WBO is nonsense, how about one big company like the UFC that the boxers fight for? Money wise I guess it would be difficult since guys like Pacquiao and Mayweather make a lot more money in one fight than most top MMA guys but something needs to be worked out to save this sport.

Usually blaming the judges like Bob Arum.

Not Dana White himself, more like a David Stern or Roger Goodell, boxing has far too long gotten away with bad decisions, with millions of dollars changing hands, something needs to be done because boxing doesn't have anymore eyes to blacken.

they absolutely need a better organizational structure and people running it who have enough vision to keep promoting the support to prop up their individual name fighter paydays

bad decisions happen in both - dana takes the stance of "don't leave it to the judges" and is not shy about giving his opinion on a decision

however, the main advantage is that UFC is the most viable promotion - they have the top fighters and provide the most opportunity to fighters so they can dictate terms .... when guys try to leverage them it doesn't really help the individuals career as much as the lower promotions just don't have the same visibility

in boxing the organizations and promotions are loosely associated .... you have golden boy, top rank, king, etc and they may have tie ins with the alpha-soup but it's different

also, all of those promotions have guys who are money machines - they can still get paid and be visisible without having to concede much in a cross promotion

I think that is the biggest problem with boxing - guys just don't fight each other that much anymore and you have no visibility amongst the younger guys

there are only a few fighters known, there is no investment in the young crop and the fights that would draw huge interest and setup a legacy of fights just don't happen ...... prime fighters just don't mix it up that much

in UFC guys fight much more frequently and fight each other - there is no ducking or having the promotions not be able to come together on terms

you can still scale paydays - reward the up & comers with a slot on a major PPV to get them known - network in with the sports channels & hbo/sho - the potential distribution is there, they just need to win people back to let them know they aren't wasting their time

i stumbled across the tarver cruiserweight title fight the other night ..... this was a headliner - really, what is the point ... it wasn't a great fight, he goes out maybe once a year, he's in his 40s and even if the younger guy picked up the decision it doesn't do much to bolster him because who is the draw in the cruiswerweight division ..... it does nothing to help bring in the fans who are casual and like the sport

Good idea to hire a commissioner. I would eliminate the belts for continental belts which leads to the problem. Could we see a commissioner manage the world boxing federation?

Yes, I have long been sick of all these different organizations in Boxing. Something needs to be done, no question.
