Great news! Glad he didn't have to do hardly any time in jail. I wish this once great fighter well. I know it's hard being him.
I read the conditions of his sentence and it's a joke. While I agree he was a great fighter he's been nothing but a thug since a young teen. What type of community service can this guy perform. He's a timebomb! I say BOOO to the judge that heard this case, he isn't a first time offender. I find the statement "Two of Tyson's former wives also wrote letters to the court asking for leniency" hilarious. Maybe they have based their letters to the court on the fact that Tyson can't make any money in jail and maybe they are getting some type of support from him. I don't know if that's a fact but it makes sense to me. I say he should have served at least 1/2 of the maximum sentence (2+ years). Society wouldn't miss him at all.
He seems to enjoy using the word fornicate a lot...

i used to hate tyson and his thugish ways. he and the brain damage suffered by Ali is what turned me off to the sport years ago and i was a fanatical boxing fan once. i see tyson as a pretty pathetic figure now. he still should have gotten more time in the big house though imo
