Great news! Glad he didn't have to do hardly any time in jail. I wish this once great fighter well. I know it's hard being him.

So it's good that somebody gets off with a slap on the wrist for driving under the influence and in possession of cocaine?

I read the conditions of his sentence and it's a joke. While I agree he was a great fighter he's been nothing but a thug since a young teen. What type of community service can this guy perform. He's a timebomb! I say BOOO to the judge that heard this case, he isn't a first time offender. I find the statement "Two of Tyson's former wives also wrote letters to the court asking for leniency" hilarious. Maybe they have based their letters to the court on the fact that Tyson can't make any money in jail and maybe they are getting some type of support from him. I don't know if that's a fact but it makes sense to me. I say he should have served at least 1/2 of the maximum sentence (2+ years). Society wouldn't miss him at all.

YouTube - Mike Tyson will eat your children

He seems to enjoy using the word fornicate a lot...

My favorite:

"I was gonna rip his heart out. I'm the best ever. I'm the most brutal and vicious, the most ruthless champion there has ever been. No one can stop me. Lennox is a conqueror? No! He's no Alexander! I'm Alexander! I'm the best ever. I'm Sonny Liston. I'm Jack Dempsey. There's never been anyone like me. I'm from their cloth. There is no one who can match me. My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious. I want his heart! I want to eat his children! Praise be to Allah!"

i used to hate tyson and his thugish ways. he and the brain damage suffered by Ali is what turned me off to the sport years ago and i was a fanatical boxing fan once. i see tyson as a pretty pathetic figure now. he still should have gotten more time in the big house though imo

Some more news about Mike Tyson.

Tyson Reports To Tent City

Gets 3 Years Probation For Drug Charge

PHOENIX -- Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson had nothing to say to reporters as he checked himself into the Maricopa County jail system to serve a one-day sentence for a DUI conviction.

Tyson wore jail-issued pink underwear and a black-and-white striped jumpsuit as he climbed off the prison van.
