Im talking fan and future wise. I love boxing it is easily my favorite sport. I am from south america and boxing is very popular there. I want to know your opinions on the state of boxing today, is Pbc Helping boxing? Where do you see the future? Is MMA still taking over? Lets have some conversations and suggestions about how we can better and expand the sport we feel strongest about. Thank you.

Healthier than some will argue. There are some issues, obviously the dearth of talent in the heavyweight division, growing popularity of MMA and the ridiculous amount of politics that taints the sport. However, there are some truly great fighters out there from GGG to Terrance Crawford, Canelo Alverez, Adonis Stevenson, Roman Gonzales, Sergey Kovalev, etc.. There aren't any Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Hagler around but it's still not too shabby.

Boxing is in good condition, but the heavyweight division is a disaster.

The problem with boxing, particularly in the heavyweight division, is that big, athletic men can make more money quicker in football or other team sports or in professional wrestling than they can in the fight game.

Causes a real dearth of talent in boxing.

The fact that a lot of your people involved in ruling boxing- like Don King or the world sanctioning bodies, are less than reputable, just makes it less likely that these young athletes might want to train for other sports instead.

Do you guys think PBC will go anywhere? And is there anything that can be done to revive the heavyweight division in the US. Do you see it happening?

Boxing is doing well. I think the comparisons to MMA are absolutely absurd, and MMA will never replace the Sweet Science.

I think the heavyweight division is at a new low with that pathetic Tyson Fury being called champion now. We really have gone full circle, back to the days pre-Jack Johnson, when Bob Fitzsimmons reigned. The lighter divisions are were I focus my attention.

I don't understand all of the constant comparisons to MMA. FWIW, boxing has two things going for it that MMA doesn't.

1. History. The "all time greatest" debate in the sport of boxing pre-dates 1993. That means your grandfather, barber, super old uncle, etc. will all be able to pitch into the conversation.

2. Accessibility. Some gyms, especially in inner cities, are free. Usually you just pay for insurance and the association fee and you're good to go.

Honestly, I don't know why you hate Tyson Fury when his demeanor and fighting style are almost identical to Mayweathers.

He says ridiculous things to make people hate him, talks real tough, and then fights scared as hell during the actual fight.

Fury should be your hero.
