Bloodied Badou Jack. Why wasn't it stopped sooner? (fight)

I watched this fight live 2 months ago. I've seen some bloody fights over the course of my life; some much bloodier than this one. But, I'm talking the day of brutal 15 round fights back in the day.

Bloody fights like this are rare in today's boxing world. And frankly, IMHO, someone in Jack's corner, the referee, or the doctor, should have stopped this fight shortly after the headbutt which caused that gusher of a cut. This fight was allowed to go far too long. It went the entire 12 rounds. Badou Jack's cut was so deep that the white of his skull was visible at one point. I call shame on Jack's trainer Lou Del Valle for not having enough sense to stop the fight and protect his protégé. I could not believe when I heard Del Valle tell Jack, "That's just a little cut." What an imbecile! Actually, including the ref, and ringside doctor, what a hoard of imbeciles! Why wasn't this stopped sooner? This should have been stopped, and the scorecards tallied up to declare a winner. Yet another stain on Boxing.
