James Kirkland was arrested on a felony gun charge in his hometown. The charge carries a sentence of 2-10 years. If this sticks, it could be the end of a promising career for an exciting fighter.

Are you kidding? On the show, the trainer was pulled over because one of his boxers had stolen the truck they were driving... she deals with a lot of knuckleheads apparently. |

I heard there was some kind of run in with the police on the show. They apparently try to straighten out kids that have been in trouble. Kirkland had gotten arrested several years ago and was supposedly staying busy and trying to stay out of trouble. This is a pretty stupid mistake. He was on the brink of some big paydays too. He's supposed to fight on the Pacquiao/Hatton undercard. |
