Pacquiao vs Clottey

This fight should be good. I would like to see Pacquiao win. But, overall I would rather just like to see a good fight. My concern going into this fight is Pacquiao. Pacquiao has been under a grueling schedule marketing the fight, attending interviews, throwing jabs at Mayweather and elections!

Pacquiao's team is not known for underpreparing but it seems ESPN and news medias alike are setting them up for failure. For example, just yesterday on PTI, Wilbon stated, is this fight an afterthought, to which of course, the trainer smartly answered otherwise. This is not the first time this type of question was asked about this particular "weak" opponent.

Will all these questions unknowingly lower the camp's or even Pacquiao's guard? Clottey is not joke! Given better circumstances, he should actually be the champ. This guy can straight up fight. I agree with Pacquiao's trainer, this could actually be Pacquiao's most formidable opponent.

Your thoughts and predictions.

24/7 Pacquiao vs Cotto, they made it look like Pacquiao was goofing off taking pictures for his movie, like he wasn't concentrated etc...., it did not influence the outcome of the fight, Pacquiao is a true warrior

I will say that Manny seems to be looking past Clottey and talking about Mayweather too much. Clottey is not an easy opponent, and I think Manny's camp understand that, but perhaps see something that they believe is enough of a weakness in Clottey that they'll win. Honestly, I can see an upset here. Clottey has great defense, he's got a physique carved of stone, and punches hard. He can take a good punch as well. He's also the naturally bigger man. I'm not sure what Manny's game plan is, but this will be his toughest fight since his last loss. I don't see him cutting through Clottey like he did with his last few opponents.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Clottey headbutts Manny that opens a cut, perhaps causing some controversy. He's not exactly a clean fighter. He also cries and puts on an act if a punch comes anywhere near his beltline, looking for low-blow calls.

If Manny by some chance goes through Clottey the same way he did Cotto or De La Hoya, I'm guessing Floyd will find every excuse in the book not to fight him.

You guys are forgetting Clotty's fight against Cotto, in which he appeared to take rounds off and get careless, allowing himself to get dropped twice, which ended up costing him a fight he should have won.

I'm going with intangables, and in that catagory Pacquiao has the edge IMO. Pac by TKO 10-12.

I'd love to see Clottey beat Manny but I don't think it will happen. Pacquiao will probably come away with a TKO in one of the later rounds.
