I'm a huge boxing fan and a follower of the sport for since I can remember. These are three fighters to keep a close eye on- Devon alexander currently wbc/ibf 140lb champ (will be fighting on HBO Aug7) hes a guy in my opinion may be the best in the division right now. I feel he would beat rather easily Amir Khan the popular fighter of the division. Also, at middleweight Daniel Jacobs he currently has no belts, but reminds me of a young Roy Jones JR with his quick hands and movements and has knockout power in both hands some one to def. watch. Also, when he gets out of jail James Kirkland a tough 154lb fighter who is trained by the former female boxing ann wolfe. these are a few to keep an eye on.

I would add Yoriorkis Gamboa, Alfredo Angulo, and Tim Bradley. There is another guy out there whose name escapes me at the moment.

James Kirkland is likely to make his return in August. He'll have a tune-up and then start moving toward the belt.

Thanks for this list. I'll keep an eye on these fighters. I don't have time to watch the contenders as much as I used to, and usually a new fighter doesn't catch my attention until he beats a fighter I do know.

Kirkland did not look good in his last fight, and was stunned a little by a right hand....

Dmitry Pirog if he stayes Active and HBO or Showtime picks him up again could be a Big Factor at 160lb....
