I am in the process of moving to Bozeman to join my fiance. I currently live in the South and I have an Engineering Degree with some experience (I am in my mid-twenties, so I am still young). I also have some technical related sales experience.

My question is, what are some "good" companies to work for in the area and what do ALL the people do? I heard that many people "telecommute" and I was wondering what companies allow this...

I am aware of companies such as RighNow, Zoot, PFL, ILX, etc....I was wondering about some other companies who may have positions for young professionals like myself. I am very computer savy, but I am NOT a COMPUTER PROGRAMMER....

One more question, has the Sikorsky "Engineering Design Center" been built yet or? It is hard to find info on this, as they were supposedly hiring through a 3rd party.....

Any other advice, recommendations, etc would be appreciated!!

It is kind of hard to give you some recommendations for companies, if you don't give us your degree or experience...

Sorry about the lack of details...

I have a degree in Industrial Engineering with some Biotech and Manufacturing Co-Op/Internship Experience. As I said earlier, I am computer savy but I am not a programmer. RightNow, Choicepoint & Zoot primarily have "programming" positions but I have heard that they do have some positions that are technical but non-programming.....

I have heard that many Bozeman residents "telecommute"....I was trying to get a feel for companies that do allow this....

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.....

I've looked on DICE and most of their jobs are "programming" type positions....anyone else know of companies people work for/telecommute or any other info on Sikorsky or other possibilities?

Have you thought about the university there in Bozeman, MSU? They have an Engineering School with many disciplines. May be some opportunities there.

Sorry I don't know of more. Right Now is an excellent company to work for (family member works there; not all their jobs are in programming). Good luck!

I just noticed I've gotten another email from Monster.... I get them at least 2 times a month telling me of IT jobs unfortunately around Billings etc. Forgot to mention that on the last post....
