Hello,

I am moving to Bozeman and need to find a storage unit to keep the bulk of my stuff in.

Does anyone have suggestions as to storage facilities that are good or those that should be avoided?

I won't be accessing the unit very often, so it does not have to be in Bozeman proper. It could be as far east as Livingston and equidistant as far west/south/north.

The unit does not need to be climate controlled and I don't need Fort Knox type security. Cost is my primary driver.

Thank you in advance for your time.

I used Wheatland Storage which is about 5 miles northwest of Three Forks, so it's around 35 miles from Bozeman but an easy drive (no big hills or bad roads). Inexpensive and easy to get along with, and they originally got my business because they were available after hours. Phone: 406-600-1848

We used the one in Three Forks that is just across from the baseball fields (can't remember the name right now). Just this past summer, we paid $35 a month for a 10 x 10.

There are actually two storage outfits there as you come into Three Forks, both look decrepit but they're probably about as safe as it can get. I can't remember their names either, even tho we looked at the one as it's for sale (tho at what he's asking, you'd never make it back).

Ah, here's a streetview of their sign, with phone number:

At Wheatland Storage, I paid $25/mo. for an outdoor space about 12x25 feet (enough to park a trailer and a pile of fence and stuff). I don't know what they charge for indoor space.

There's one at Belgrade, just south of the corner of Thorpe and Amsterdam Roads, that if I recall right was $39/mo. for 10x10, when they have 'em available.

There's another a couple miles out on Old Town Road north of Three Forks, I think they were $25/mo. for 10x10.

Backyard Storage in Belgrade is very good. We got a 10x20 for $60 a month, which was pretty good considering when we looked around there were hardly any units available. And the woman who runs it is very nice & helpful.
