I wouldn't gurantee everyday but 99% of the days you will be fine, especially if you have a subaru or other AWD, good snow car.

well I am not saying its gonna be a clean fun drive but you can do it. I mean its montana in the winter, its not gonna be like I 90 in the summer time. There will be snow and ice patches but if thats where you want to live and commute you can do it.

The main problem back when I lived around Bozeman was getting from Big Sky to the highway, that could be a nasty road after fresh snow. Dunno what it's like now. The main highway is usually okay down to a few miles south of Big Sky, but from there to Yellowstone it can be a 10mph road, even with chains on. Be prepared for occasional storm days when it's nasty all the way up.

What airlines serve Big Sky these days? anyone know offhand? Just wondering.

I wouldn't want to make that drive very often, but it's totally possible. Definitely wouldn't do it without AWD.

Big Sky to Bozeman will be worse than Big Timber to Bozeman. The road from Big Sky to Bozeman can be pretty gnarly in the winter but it's usually doable.
