Hi everyone. I contacted the Site Administrator regarding the creation of a Brevard County thread (Titusville-Melbourne-Palm Bay) and mentioned that it was odd that Ocala and Port St Lucie-Sebastian-Vero Beach have a forum, and Brevard County doesn't. He said it wasn't based on population, rather posts/threads. Of course Brevard's count would be hard to trace as we're forced to look at either the Florida Forum or Orlando's, so I'm not sure how they would have a handle on that. For those from Brevard County who are active here, I would urge you to contact the Site Administrator as well. I feel pretty confident we would have an active forum going should that happen. Thanks.

Definitely agree that all us Brevard County posters would love a site. I pick through the others and find a lot of posts asking questions about this county and the towns and beaches in it. . Always wondered why there wasn't one.

I doubt I see a thread directly relating to Brevard county more then a few times a month. Everyone clamored for a North Florida/Tallahassee section. I check it all the time and it goes days without a new posting. The current most recent postings span over three weeks. Other then they have consolidated past posts into one place, and that's is a good thing. It hasn't really shown there was really a need from the activity it generates. I made a few posts on there and didn't really get any responses at all. If I had made the same posts to the general Florida forum I would have gotten a response possibly in a few minutes.

Why not just ask them to add Brevard to the St.Lucie Sebastian forum?
I don't think it is really going to change how much people post about it though.

And it is not hard to count how often something is posted about. A search for Brevard brought up 979 posts, just for the sake of it I searched Hernando and got 977 posts.

Doesn't seem to be a need for another sub forum unless they are going to to one for every county.

It's based on activity level. So if there is a lot of interest (meaning lots of post for Brevard County) then a separate section is warranted and opened. Hence why Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Palm beach each have their own separate sections vs. one giant section, each has a lot of interest.

There would be a lot more interest/activity if there was a Brevard County forum to post under, versus waiting for more activity which isn't likely to happen with the way it's structured. I would imagine it's not really enticing for most Brevard County users to have to screen through/post under the "general Florida" forum or in Orlando.

When they started the forums I don't think there were sub forums for most areas yet there were enough posts to eventually add them.
