Does anyone have any insight into older, more quaint Melbourne neighborhoods like these two? Others? What is the north Melbourne area like -- up near Aurora or Auroria (the name is coming up spelled both ways on maps)?

Melbourne Village requires you to belong to the American Homesteading foundation. I think if I remember correctly from when my sister lived over that way that if you plan to buy a home there you have to be approved by the board. Some houses houses were built after WWII reusing material from barracks etc. There are about 700-800 people in the town.

Police Home Foundation....not sure but thinking that is out West of I-95 in the Brandywine area???? I know there is a flooding problem out that direction but not sure how extreme it is.

Houses off Aurora are not my favorite. Most are from the 70s and early 80s and rather small. There are some newer subdivisions, though. I find that area of Melbourne to be sort of run down with narrow streets and lots of homes not taken care of compared to Palm Bay. It isn't an area that I would choose for us.
