We are a young family of 4 looking to move to Brevard County asap from NYC. I have family in Palm Bay & Pembroke Pines. Miami is not for us for sure. We would like area info A safe, family oriented area of Brevard that are affordable. We currently rent a 2 bedroom 700 sq foot apartment in NY for $1100 so we idealy want to rent a 3/2 for under $1000. I know the economy is not the greatest down in FL right now but we will be working in Orlando and with family in the area it makes it easier for us which is why we wont live in Orlando. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I just moved from south florida- weston close to pembroke pines. We went from paying 1600/month for an apt. To 1100 for a house. We are in west melbourne and our subdivision is quiet and the school is amazing. You should find something for 1000/month in a good community. Look into suntree and viera areas for sure. Also west melbourne. I really enjoy the low-key lifestyle for my family with plenty to do. Is beachside an option? Maybe too long of a drive but man- pockets of indialantic, satellite beach are nice with good schools. And if we feel like a splurge- orlando is just a short drive away. Good luck

You should check out the West Melbourne area and that is not far from your family in Palm Bay. You may also like the Viera, Suntree area with the close access to I-95 to Orlando. Do you want a home or apartment because could rent a nice home for that price range and have closer to 1300-1500 sqft of living. You may want to check with some realty companies in the area for home rentals. If you would like apartments, check out Cypress Cove and Plantation Club in Suntree.
Good Luck:-)

Thanks for all the info. I will definitely look into those areas. An employment position has now given me the opportunity to move to the west coast ie: tampa area. I have never actually been on the west coast can anyone give me any info on the surrounding areas? Thanks again!
