If you are new to the area and looking for something to do this weekend check out The Melbourne Art Festival. Every year it is awesome......

Melbourne Art Festival

A weekend of art, entertainment, good food and drink. There's an area for kids that is always fantastic. The stores on the street are all open so you can go antiquing and botiquieng in addition to seeing the art. Be sure and check out the school art tent, too. Some of the artwork there is spectacular every year.

They do have shuttles to make it easier to park. Info from their web site.

Asleep at the Wheel is playing on Saturday for free. Todd Kennedy mentioned them earlier today on WFIT. I wish I could be there.

We had to wait and go on Sunday. Lots of beautiful art this year. Looks like the artists were selling quite a bit, too. We actually bought 2 pictures this year and we have never done that before.

Groups playing on Sunday were good, too.
