Last U.S. airshow’s to catch a glimpse of Frontline Combat Aircraft
The Valiant Air Command’s 36th annual Tico Warbird Airshow promises to be one of the non-profit organizations greatest in several years and perhaps a bitter sweet close of the Airshow season for fan’s of current military flight display teams. Looming department of defense sequestration cut’s coming on March 1st could spell the ultimate demise of active military participation in aerial event’s across The United States. Event’s including the 36th annual Tico Warbird Airshow in Titusville as well as the Florida International Airshow in Punta Gorda, both taking place during the weekend of March 23 will most likely be the last airshows of the 2013 season where the public will have the chance to see the USAF’s celebrated flight display team The Thunderbirds and the current frontline fighter, the F-22 Raptor. Numerous military bases have already announced the cancellation of their event’s including Langley AFB the center of the Air Force’s ACC Air Combat Command tasked with scheduling USAF participation in show’s across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. If the sequestration goes into effect these show’s will be the last of the year to showcase modern combat aircraft.
