wont be a bunch of drunk retards and people snorting xanax in the back bedroom? a church gathering or family friendly gathering would be awesome. i just dont wanna sit home and do nothing. I dont care if people are drinking socially but if they are id like it to be a fun mature crowd not people just trying to wear a costume and getting effin hammered. So if theres anything anyone knows about feel free to make me aware and if it is a church function Im episcopalian. thanks

Oh by the way im in the bottom of brevard so anywhere from melbourne to vero would be cool! thanks again

The Halloween Party downtown is not the same as in past years. In the past it was Meg O'Malleys the Irish Pub and Restaurant(which I happen to really like the food at and we don't drink where else can you get 19 cent soup? LOL ) that hosted the downtown Halloween Street Party in a sort of fenced off area. This year they decided not to do it and were going to move it out to Wickham Park, but then decided not to take business away from downtown. Other merchants got together and they are hosting the party. It will I think be more like the Art Festivals where there are bands and tents with things for kids to do on the whole street. There will be kids costume contest etc. I think the stores will remain open later. The bars will be doing their own parties starting later and the rule of drinks staying in the bars will apply as normal. There might be a beer tent on the street but not a big drunken brawl type party is the way I understand it should be.

Nope that's not it and it is only boring here if you are too lazy to find something to do. If you find it so boring then time to start working to make the county more fun. Parties and festivals only happen because of people wsho get involved in their community.

But in the meantime check out the Halloween 2011 section in the Today Newspaper. Looks like lots of fun things to do.

This doesn't include a lot of the schools, churches, daycares that have parties to give the kids alternatives instead of trick or treating.

If you can't find anything else that sounds like fun how bout going see the movie- Paranormal Activity 3. Heard it is really good if you like to be scared.

I know people who are dressing in costume to go bowling next weekend but don't know if it is just them or one of the bowling allies might have a party planned, too. Watch for signs on businesses around towsn, too. Many will be doing things for the trick or treaters or have special activities planned.
