Hi all, First off thank you for your posts in advance. I'm writing this from Long Beach California. I found out a month ago that my family is moving to the Celebration area of Orlando, Florida in about a month. I am going to follow them out there after retiring from the phone company in about 6 months. My favorite areas to go out here are Long Beach and Seal Beach areas.

I want to move to an apartment in Florida on the beach or water and I would like my commute to Celebration not exceed an hour. I can afford around 800 a month and I am looking for a 1 bedroom place upstairs with a balcony and a view of the ocean or water. I have looked at the Shoreview apartments in Satellite Beach and those apartments are currently a front-runner for me but because I only have the internet to look up areas and apartments I am asking for your help. My personality is that I am 52 and I live alone. I am not a loud person - and love peace and quiet and animals and nature. I have 2 cats who I will be relocating with me. I would like an area that is slow-paced. I think I might like to work at a Toys R Us part-time after a few months. I have looked at Cocoa Beach, Merritt Island, Satellite Beach, Titusville, and Melbourne. As long as I can keep my commute around 1 hour to Disney area - and I can live on the beach or water- I don't really care where I go - any suggestions? Thanks so much for your help!

Welcome to Florida!

You might also consider the town of Cape Canaveral which would be your closest commute. There are some nice condos there and it's a quiet area as well.
