I am considering moving down to Brevard County up from Nassau to go to school there. A buddy of mine down there is trying to convince me to go into the Aerospace Tech field and he tells me that Brevard has a really good two year program. I currenty work in aviation, but I do not mind making the transition over to the astronautics industry. My buddy works in the industry, but he is over in California but tells me he can get me on with his company if I get my AA. Does alot of companies recruit from Brevard? I am keeping my options open.

Hey, I go to BCC in Palm Bay. It's a good school, honestly. I'm going for my AA right now. Most students who get the AA end up transferring to a 4 yr university to pursue a B.S. or B.A. in something. The people who actually work and stop school after there AA is a minority. A lot of companies have good connections with BCC for those who pursue an A.S. degree, which gives you more technical skills. The AA is mainly for transferring to another university after 2 yrs. I think your buddy is talking about the A.S. degree with an Aerospace Technology concentration. See this: Aerospace Technology | Brevard Community College

Hey thanks, I am going to try to finish up my general ed (ENC, MAC, etc.) while I am here in JAX cause I only have a few more classes to go for that. I eventually want to end up into a four year program, but my friend is pushing me to get the Aerospace Tech degree to get my foot into the door.

I went to BCC before transferring to UF. Most community colleges have turned into state colleges, which means that you can get your bachelors there too. Not sure if this applies to BCC as well since I havent attended in since 2009.

It's a great school, great teachers and all the students are friendly. No problems for me in my 2 years there.

Thanks, I heard nothing but great things about that school. I am currently attending FSCJ, and so far I am having nothing but problems from them.
