Damn we got old quick. Retiring and leaving New Mexico to finally live in the house we bought over two years ago in Palm Bay. Now we've got to start looking for health care plans to supplement our Medicare parts A&B. We need to jump on a plan by Jan.1st,2013 to avoid being without coverage as our employer insurance ends 12/31/2012.
We've narrowed it down to a Medigap plan 'F' and am wondering if anyone can tell me their opinions from having used Health First as a customer/patient in one of their Advantage or Medigap plans. No reason for wanting to go with Health First other then they are local and have been around for a while.

I have noticed that the premiums are about the same for H.South, Gerber, United/AARP, Aetna, and Blue Cross, Blue Shield/Florida and since the plans are all standardized, common sense says to go for the cheapest plan since we get to pick our own doctor's. But, once we pick a insurance company we're stuck with that company unless we're willing to go thru the pre-qualifying again or they quit offering/drop plans in the area.

Long post,sorry.

My inputs on this thread seem to be written off.
(That's not a problem, I don't own the whole forum9

I'm concerned that my replies have been eliminated

No experience w/ it but will say since HF Physicians are aquiring MIMA (rebranding into Health first Physician's Group) it should make choosing Dr less of a headache. Good luck!
