People might wonder why the crime in Palm Bay is so low, slackers?

Palm Bay's over all crime is about 2/3 the national average last time I checked.

It's a big town, some areas have problems, like most everywhere else. Could be better of course, but some areas are so inexpensive, it's bound to draw some of the rabble.

Seems to be daylight burglaries near I-95. Just my suspicion but would seem drive by hit and runs and not Palm Bay people doing it. Government reported overall crime stats reported on this City Data demographics site here. Down about a 1/3 way of the page: //www.city-data.com/city/Palm-Bay-Florida.html

3 caught in Brevard County daytime burglary investigation | News 13

They think these men might be the, ones hitting houses in PB, too. Unfortunately they think there are more involved here because it was women who were videoed going up to the houses here, knocking on the door, and then going around to the back when no one answered the door.

Palm Bay being right on 95 is very convenient for thieves. Back in the 80's professional shop lifting gangs had a circuit they ran hitting wal-marts, kmarts, etc. One kmart cash office was robbed possibly in Palm Bay, one walmart was shoplifted and when an associate followed them out the door to get the license number they were met with a shotgun and told to turn around and go back into the store. The pattern now in Palm Bay seems to be to case a neighborhood for working class where everyone works and use the back sliding doors to gain entry. Very professional hit and run very fast before a neighbor can get 911 there. I haven't read of any armed robberies yet but the day will most likely come.
