Nothing really to be proud of, just greedy people who think they're above the law.
The most corrupt state(s) in America

I think in terms of overall $$$$ and spending, NY, NJ, IL and CA still win.

Let me know when we start having several governors in a row go to prison for pay-to-play (like IL) or start having unions that run the budget and let correctional officers make $150K/year (CA).

As a recent transplant to FL from CA (lived there from 1955 to 2013), I can attest that CA is a complete and total train wreck. They've just been able to keep it under wraps is all that differentiates it from the other states discussed in the article. We left CA to put the corruption, far left political environment and out of control taxation behind us.

If you think your elected officials are corrupt, do the smart thing: Vote out the incumbent EVERY TIME! Don't give them time to get entrenched and build their mini-kingdom.

Yes, California is worse by far. It's just that they have better PR covering it up.

As a resident of Virginia, we have you beat. Our former governor and his wife asked for over $140k in gifts. $120k of which turned into no document "loans" when they got investigated. He still insists the men's Rolex engraved "71st governor of Virginia" was a gift to his wife.

We'd like to forget them, but before we do it's only fitting that we expose them for who they really are and what they really stand for.

Don't forget to vote, register to vote if you haven't, it only takes a few minutes.

Make Florida a better place.

I can't imagine having Crist as Governor.....nobody flopped more than him in such a short amount of time.

I am definitely voting for Rick Scott, most don't look at the fact that Florida also ranked #1 in Job Creation, under Scott, we would be welcoming back the budget shortfalls under Crist.
