MLB is a great little airport, but the problem is if I want to get home at night, the latest flight coming in from ATL leaves too early for me to make a connection from my clients (MSY, BNA, etc.) If you are starting from ATL, it might make sense to use MLB. But if there are cancelled flights, you have a problem since there are so few ATL-MLB and return flights.

I'd say Do It!!
Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it. I know there are plenty of road warriors out there who travel constantly and I was thinking that 1 day a week is a lot less than what a lot of other folks do.

It's something I'm considering but again, ideally, I'd get something down there.

Very doable in muy opinion.

Especially if you can do 2 days for 1 week it will be a pretty easy go of it. Your employer may even like that approach better as you can schedule face to face meetups easier (or with people you need to do those things with). Obviously depends on the type of work you do but some things to consider or present to your employer as justifications if you ever need them.

You'd cut the airfare cost in half (obviously) and just figure out a cheap & easy hotel arrangement in ATL for 1 night.

Only concern I'd have is if this job were to go away & whether you could land something local to Brevard or even Orlando. Really depends on what you can do but Brevard doesn't have the same diverse economy an ATL or even Orlando will have, so if you are in a very niche industry or skillset, then you may need to move away if this position doesnt work out. Also consider that even if MCO is only about an hour from where you would live, getting into the majority of Orlando will take longer than that.

I'm a little late to this thread, but I say absolutely do it! Find a great place in Indialantic or Satellite and fly out of Melbourne. I think with a little planning you could easily get into a weekly routine.

I teleworked here for 7 years and only traveled back to the office a few times a year. It's a great feeling to walk the beach in the morning before work or better yet, surf during your lunch break. As a side note, I was much more productive at home than in the office.

I've been teleworking 2 days a week for about 3 years now and get so much more accomplished at home as opposed to in office.
