There is an Atlas V scheduled for 11:23 PM Friday Night August 1. Should be easy to see from all over the state but spectacular from the beach anywhere in Brevard, the pier in Cocoa Beach, and across the river in Titusville.

Then Monday early morning at 1:25 AM there is a Space X Falcon 9 scheduled.

Hopefully there won't be delays with these.

Since you will be in CB, definitely go to the pier. Just don't drink too much so you miss the launch. They are really beautiful to see.

Did see the Friday night launch from the roof of a condo I am buying into. Interesting to see at night, but such a small fire ball. The last night launch I saw of the Shuttle years ago was a much more amazing in its display. I think the day launches are better on these smaller rockets as you can see more than just a little round fire ball going up.

Agreed - We've seen multiple nighttime shuttle launches from our oceanfront condo ... and they are much more impressive than weather rockets, etc. ---

For example, a few years ago, we were on our balcony scanning the sky for a rocket launch that was running on the NASA TV feed. Even though the cloud cover was very nominal, we couldn't see anything that even remotely resembled a rocket launch! (We were really disappointed ... until we later learned that we had been watching a delayed TV recording of an earlier launch ... Duh!).

Definitely ...shuttles were brighter. You could actually read a newspaper from the light if closer to the launch. I still love the night launches. This one seemed to be more of a straight up launch instead of coming down range and then going east where you can see the light for longer. Cloud cover also didn't let us see the little explosion and descent of the boosters.

I will be staying up to watch the one that goes up later tonight. Still scheduled for 1:25 AM.
