We got 2 kittens in December and then the grand dog came home for Christmas. Noticed a few fleas on the cats when Chance left. We treated with one of the $35 a month type flea treatments, used flea spray on carpets and furniture etc, but it is only getting worse. Retreated and trying the Borax method but wondering how everyone else with pets handles the problem. I am ready to say no pets! But......I think my husband would move with the cats. Hmmm might be a plan to contemplate. :-)

I use Revolution for dogs. It is a once a month product (like Frontline) that prohibits the baby fleas to reproduce as well as kill them. It can take a month for a full cycle. I like the Revolution as it has heart worm prevention as well so it does it all in one dose. Ticks are also killed when they bite. They should have similar versions for cats as well. You will likely need a prescription from a vet to get these products. But its worth it. Runs about $12 a month at discount.

I second Revolution. Been using it since it first came out about 15 or so years ago. Knock on wood, have never had a flea problem.

I didn't think what we used on the cats worked.....guess I didn't wait long enough, but Advantage 2 seems to have gotten them. We also gave 1/2 the house the Borax treatment and doing the rest today. Looks like we may be getting it under control so won't be throwing out the cats after all.....Just kidding would never do that.

Will ask the vet about Revolution . Thanks for the advise .
