I think it might be a good idea to research the topic on multiple sites, to get more of a cross-section of information. Perhaps this site you mention compiles their data differently than others, and by synthesizing its data with data from other similar sites, you can get a clearer picture.

It depends on if we're talking Melbourne, the general area, or the Melbourne city limits. For what it's worth, the area Suntree's in (north of Pineda, up to the Avenue at Viera shopping center) is not in Melbourne proper, it's in unincorporated Brevard County. And if it helps, I've never heard Suntree referred to as a high-crime area.
