Yes, like Rabflmom said, check websites. Most will require uniforms and church schools cost money, while charter school are free. I know Viera Charter for example has an enrollment in the spring. 1 month to apply and then you wait for lottery results. I have a friend that sends her 3 children there and raves about it. Also know one of the teachers. Depending on where you live and what makes sense for you kids, Brevard offers many options for education.

Thank you for your responses but do you happen to know the websites? Do you know if any schools provide transportation? Thank you so much for your reply

If you choose a different school than the one assigned to your neighborhood, you provide your own transportation usually. Same for some of the charter schools but there may be some that have a bus. That is why a lot of parets use a day care that has a van that delivers and picks up at several schools. Some of the private church schools have buses but some don't. Florida Prep in Melbourne (jr and senior high) used to have a van for local kids but not sure if they do that any more.

Oh, another thing to take into consideration.......enrolling a child into any school-even the public schools which do not have tuition, be prepared to spend money. Each class has a list of items parents are asked to buy and it is sort of costly for most. it can cost over $200 for each child sometimes when you include the backpacks and special folders etc. For example many ask for 9 boxes of kleenex, an 8 pack of paper towels etc. I saw one list that included 50 pencils and 20 pens for each child, antibiotic soaps and just all kinds of things you would not think the parents have to supply.

This definitely is typical where I live in Long Island. Each year we have the option of spending about $60 per student for a box of supplies that include all of the items mentioned above (or deal with the dreaded list with specific brands as you go on the wild goose chase to meet the deadline during back to school). Then, usually about mid way through the school year, a request for more tissues, folders, glue sticks, pencils and anything the kids use is asked for again. We pay over $8,000 a year for our school taxes alone, yet we still are asked to shell out in excess of $100 for supplies, plus more for the trips and the endless special snacks and lunches the kids must have or they feel left out. This is what "free" public school has become. Now at least I know this is happening in other states as well. Sad what has become of our educational system (or at least what is no longer included).
