Before you make the move, please do come down for at least a week. Tour the different areas of interest. See the potential areas you would prefer to live in. Then decide if the distance to a particular job makes sense. I can't tell you how many times I changed my mind to which area I preferred. I still sometimes see another possibility but you can't be all over. My point is, the job is a priority, but where you live is your life, your families life and will give you the most happiness beyond the potential commute. If a 45 minute of less drive to work is OK, you can probably be just about anywhere in Brevard. See it, drive it, price it, live it. But a visit first is a must. Oh and have fun! This preview may be the most important thing you do on your way to a move. If possible plan a couple of follow up visits to confirm your first thoughts and to visit at various times of the year to really see traffic trends, the weather, and the different people that frequent the different areas (snowbirds in the winter, tourists in the summer).

I cannot emphasize enough how important this is. If financially feasible, just do it, even if you can't do it for an entire week.

Banks & Credit Unions: Not only are they all over MI, they are also all over Port Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, Satellite Beach, Cocoa, and Rockledge. These are all easy commutes off the island.
