We had a block/terrazzo house with a flat roof down in Broward and that was our target when we moved into Brevard. We ended up not doing that but would still recommend that style. I was surprised when my realtor said the some people don't even bother looking at them (she's a fan of them too). They're fantastic. I remember sitting through Wilma in ours and not feeling particularly worried about the house in the weather we were seeing.
