My husband is a disbaled vet and we have five children. Two are out of school and two are in school and one didnt start yet. We are moving to the Palm Bay area or somewhere along the coast even thought about Cocoa but no nothing about Florida. We want a safe place for kids to play and attend school, be clase to everything and have job oppprtunities for the kids. This will be a permanent move for us. Any advance would be helpful.

What kind of job opportunities? There would be a few good jobs with advanced degrees, but everything else is scarce and low paying.

You might try and focus on where the jobs are. The Jacksonville area (still on the coast) has the best job market in the state. It has a lot of fairly safe areas most are within a ring that circles the metro area on all sides. The southwest side is probably the most affordable of the safe areas, check out the suburb of Orange Park. Also worth considering is medical care for your husband. Jacksonville has a VA clinic as well as excellent VA-affiliated local hospitals.
