Yes, be safe!

I can hear the sounds of hammering and drilling down the street.

Time to get the stuff off the patio, porch and carport. Yikes, where will it fit?

Default Be safe...

Wishing all of you in harm's way the best.

There's always a chance it could change direction and head out to sea... fingers crossed for you folks down in Brevard.

I've got close friends on Merritt Island, and am looking at houses for myself in Palm Bay, so wishing and hoping for a good outcome.

Stay safe everyone.

We're battening down the hatches, and probably getting off the island (Merritt Island) tomorrow morning. We've friends in the Tampa area we can hang with for a couple of days until we see how things shake out.

What concerns me the most isn't the direct damage to the house. It's the aftermath potential, like being without power for more than a day or two. Since I work from home, no power means no work.

It's funny (ironic), I was kicking around the idea of a natural gas powered generator, and opted instead to install the pool screen. Silly me.

I think given the choice, most of us would choose the pool screen for comfort most of the year.
The main thing now is to just be safe. There is is a reason we have insurance and hopefully you want need to use it.
I can totally understand what the aftermath may bring but just take care of yourselves and get out safely my friends.
