Intercoastal is too danerous in most areas. There are danerous holes in the bottom in some areas, alligators, sharks, snakes, etc.
In June the Atlantic will not have a lot of waves. We joke that it is Lake Atlantic then. Also if you go between tides the wave action will be less. Our favorite time to go is about an hour and a half before low tide.
