What areas of Palm Bay? The schools look bad though.
Isn’t Melbourne the better choice? Their schools are ranked highly so should be easier to attract renters IMO.

Lockmar Estates in Palm Bay has a great elementary school. That is in the NW area, but overlaps so check specific streets.
Melbourne has good and bad areas. Like most areas, you have to check. Palm Bay tends to be newer, area dependent, and attracts families. It's also close to stores and many of the larger job providers.
It's really specific areas within each town. Best to travel around and see for yourself.

Lockmar is in the NE area of Palm Bay. It is right off Emerson Dr.

One thing I noticed when I checked BCS is that boundaries are changing for several schools this year. The kids already in will be grandfathered into the schools they attended this year; but people moving into the district may go to the school the boundary designates so may not go to the same school as other neighborhood kids. One example of change is Meadowlane and Discovery Elementary boundaries. Some Meadowlane areas will go to Discovery next year. Not sure how they handle it if you already have 1 there and a kindergartner starting in 2018. Something to check on.

According to me, west Melbourne is the best place to live. There you can easily get any house on rental at very affordable price.
