The show in Cocoa is usually quite good but gets crowded by fireworks time.

That is the part I hate, crowds, parking and traffic. Here in Cave Springs, Virginia I am on a hill that is high enough to see the fireworks. The surrounding mountains do block out a lot of the local displays, but nothing like staying home and chiiling on your porch while the sky is lit up

About had my 1st heart attack as I"forgot" (senior moment) that some Fireworks started tonight. Lol, the 1st "boom" made me jump.

Glad I had already put my dinner dishes in my sink or I would have had a broken mess on my kitchen floor.

Have they started in your neighborhood?

I can not "see" them so I am presuming the event is behind the mountains. Oh well, maybe on MONDAY I will get to see some from my hill.

So many events have been canceled.

Did anyone attend?

WATCH: Thousands turned out to celebrate America’s 246th Birthday during the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office 4th Annual Independence Day Parade on Courtenay Parkway in Merritt Island.

Spectators enjoyed the more than 40 floats, BCSO resources, Junny America’s Top Police Dog, the other amazing K-9s of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and much more!

The Friday Night Locker Room’s Orville Susong and Steve Wilson are on hand for the parade.
