I would like to hear if you live in or would like to live in any of these 3 places (Rockledge, Viera, & Melbourne), and why you live there or why you would like to live there?

I find it hard to believe that no one lives, or wants to live in any of these areas. Come on friends just want to hear your opinion. After much research I am leaning more and more toward Suntree. Vero Beach could be a possibility.

I live in Rockledge and love it here. It has more of the old Florida style homes. There are some newer housing developments. Viera is a nice area with newer homes, Melbourne isn't bad, alot of traffic. I don't have any kids in school so I cannot comment on the schools.

Rockledge is great, just stay away from Cocoa... Vero Beach is one of my favorites. Suntree is very expensive!!! I posted in your last thread my other member name is Backtofligo. You got a lot of great feedback in that thread from people, are you trying to reassure yourself???

I am really interested in what people like about these areas. I am not really trying to reassure myself at this time. I am trying to weed out a lot of leg work when I come down in 2 weeks. If I can narrow the search down to a few areas I will be golden. I did rule out the Seminole County area simply because I grew up on the coast, and now living 45 minutes away drives me insane. Brevard County seems to have what we are looking for in schools, so now if I can narrow it down to some neighborhoods I will feel better about the trip. Someone posted about a builder called mercedes homes and they have deveolpements in Melbourne and Vero Beach that seems REALLY nice. Now it is to decide between those two area. TOTAL CONFUSION! not reassurance LOL

I live in Viera and LOVE it! We feel incredibly safe and secure here and love the layed-back friendly attitude from everyone here. I would NOT live in Cocoa or Palm Bay. Viera/Suntree/Rockledge are the best areas to live, especially if you have a family. Don't know what kind of schools you are looking for, but Viera Highschool and Rockledge High are the two BEST in the county. Viera is only 15 min from the beaches and 45 to shopping/dining/attractions in Orlando. I live in a new developement and LOVE it! I would highly recommend the realtor that i used to help you weed out the areas that are right for you. Her name is Lori Nartates and she is from Viera Realty. She was a huge help for us since we moved up from Miami.
