I would like to take my children to watch the space shuttle launch tomorrow evening. I know anywhere along the coast is a good place to be as we have seen launches before, but I would like to be as close as possible to the launch without actually being in KSC. I have been told that Titusville (not exactly sure where in Titutsville) would be a good place, but I would also like some more locations and information, if possible. Thank you in advance.

Titusville is the best place, but you can also see it from Cocoa Beach & other areas in the vicinity, just not as close-up.

I'm in Stuart which is 2 hours south & I can see it from my driveway when they launch!!

Go on the nasa web site and see which launch pad it's going to leave from and find it on a google map. That will help you pick the best spot. You could end up at the entire opposite end of the launch pads only to find out the furthest one from you is the one they are using.

There are a couple of parks in Titusville along the Indian River. I do not know the names of them but if you go to the city website or NASA where to view page you should be fine.

Did you notice it didn't keep it's "tail" of flames for as long as usual??

We were out in the driveway watching & usually the tail keeps going quite a while as it curves out over the ocean....this time it didn't...

Maybe they're using ethanol to be "green"!!

Seemed like it curved off more to the north than usual. Could see it almost to the horizon.
