Just to clarify why I posted this in this forum. This show dealt with Zen a lot. That exchange between Caine and Master Po was an example of that. I thought what Master Po said to Caine was a Zen perspective on fear.

Just as nature is always impartial and does not judge things (in terms of the things being good or evil), the monk is saying that we should not condemn a person. You can criticize and correct someone's inappropriate actions, but do not destroy their right to be treated as a human being. That would be laying on a big trip!

My discussion dissolved into crap, but I thought I'd add. I love that show. I find quotes from the Tao te Ching in it all the time. It was a big part of my childhood tv. Glad to see someone else inspired by it.

I haven't seen him in Kung Fu but I really enjoyed Circle of Iron. It has some very interesting lessons/philosophies.
