If you could have any service or store (anything) in Buffalo what would it be? (Rochester: sales, 2015)

What's weird is that there are 4 Five Guys locations in the Rochester area!!! Yet we have none in Buffalo- odd, very odd! I would like a Trader Joes but I only think one location, maybe two would really survive here. The market is not big enough, or upscale enough for them. Whole Foods will never come here- not enough $$$ in the area. We are so blessed to have Wegmans, it will still blow all of these stores out. And for organic Nature's Market at Wegs and the Lexington Coop really fill that void. Honestly, how many of you would really frequent these places you talk about, often enough for them to be sustainable. They need a ton of people to come in all the time to justify setting up shop here. It would 10Xs worse to have them come here and then close 6 months later!
We have several 5 guys in Rochester and don't see what the hype is. When I was down south, everybody raved about them, but I think that is because they had horrible burger options. In Buffalo and Rochester there are plenty of excellent local burger joints that blow 5 guys out of the water. 5 guys is just a glorified burger king with mediocre food. You get more fries than you know what to do with, but they suck. Buffalo doesn't need national burger chains since the local ones they have are better than what any chain could offer.
Cleveland has 2 Trader Joe's and they are constantly swamped with people. I know enough people here who love them (and seek them out when traveling) that I truly believe they would thrive here. I also think there would be tons of Canadian patrons as well. One can only hope...
I'd also like to see Restoration Hardware and Arhaus (return) here as well.

See now, I was trying to honestly think of a really good burger place that isn't one of the fast food giants and couldn't really come up with some. can you clarify, for when I get into town next?

Same here in Syracuse. They are OK, but nothing special and I think in terms of national chains, Cheeburger Cheeburger is a bit better anyway. We have both in Camillus here in the Syracuse area. There are local restaurants that offer great burgers.

Maybe the difference with Cleveland is that they don't have a grocery store like Wegman's that can compete with the best of them. So, that could be the difference. Even in my area, I've seen Ontario plates at some of the smaller Wegman's here, let alone the fact that the biggest Wegmans is in DeWitt just east of Syracuse.
Maybe Checkers, Rally's, White Castle and Boston Market too.
