Interested in knowing where everybody would love to have a lake house on...

US side only...I need to be able to get downtown within 30 minutes..what towns have the best services, the best sunsets, least amount of garbage and pollution - either on Lake Erie or Ontario..

Evans looked nice- what about Olcott? Or Wilson? Is Wilson too far? I was only there once - in the dead of winter..it's was so cold I couldn't believe it!

Waterviews in Lewiston I assume are strictly river?

Is there a big difference in price being on a walkable, user friendly beach versus a cliffy type, hard to traverse waterfront?

Or a boating only type waterfront versus a swimming type?
Are they still cleaning up the years of dumping, or any recent horror stories about the water quality on Erie or Ontario?

At least whatever gets dumped into the Niagara river doesn't stay there long!

Given the choice between living in a subdivision or a city street, or a house on the lake...what the downside?

I would suggest Silver Creek! Very beautiful and beachy. You can boat and swim.
