Hi all. I have a question. I have been offered a position that is 24 hours a week, which may lead to full time. I am currently on unemployment, at the max benefit. I am wondering if I take the part time position will unemployment prorate my benefits, or take them away completely? In this economy I am scrambling to get what I can and I am thrilled at this opportunity. I am afraid to even contact NY state unemployment and raise the red flag, as they may just cut off my benefits entirely. It's a scary situation; I've never been on the dole. And I want OFF and fast!
