Have any of you seen this beautiful church? I was amazed when I saw it the other day... it is in S. Buffalo and it is really stunning. The exterior is so pretty and all the detailing on it and the stained glass windows are really spectacular. I was quite surprised when I found out it is for sale. If I had an extra 280 thousand dollars lying around, I'd buy it myself. Although I'm sure the costs of a structure built in 1930 would go far beyond that.
It's just such a shame that it is just sitting and probably deteriorating.
I was wondering what your thoughts are on what can be done with these churches... I'm sure there are more of them around. (Can't one of those megachurches with the rock bands and lots of followers buy it and use it? It seats 350. It would make a great museum too although we already have museums and there's no money for that sort of thing anymore.)

Also, if anyone knows anything about the history of it and/or has been in there, please share.

PS Eta I found this website with some pictures of the church. http://buffaloah.com/a/seneca/2319/ext/index.html

The pics on the site are from Chuck LaChiusa. His dedication to the architectural beauty of the area is phenomenal. Everyone should take a few hours and see the entire site -- it is enormous.

This is the link to his pics:

The site has more than just this.

Here is one for just Houses of Worship:

I went to school there in the 1960s. It was a great place in a great neighborhood. It started in 1906 and just closed in the last couple of years which broke many hearts!
